Travel MRI Technologist

About This Role

This role involves operating MRI scanners, positioning patients, and injecting contrast media to assist in diagnosing diseases and injuries in a fast-paced critical care environment.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently operate MRI scanners and related equipment
• Position patients and coils appropriately on the MRI scanner table
• Inject contrast media as required for imaging procedures
• Set appropriate technical parameters and observe image data during scans
• Identify differences between normal and abnormal images
• Recognize and respond to life-threatening situations during procedures
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local technical and professional regulations and guidelines
• Deliver quality, cost-effective patient care in a professional manner
• Promote and maintain a safe work environment for staff and patients

Requirements

• Valid state radiology registration as required by state law

Qualifications

• Completion of a two year approved School of Radiologic Technology
• 18 months of MRI Tech experience preferred, ideally in a critical care setting
