Travel Labor and Delivery RN

About This Role

Provide direct patient care and interventions for women's services, including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and educate patients and families.

Responsibilities

• Perform plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care treatment
• Appropriately assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family
• Assist patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation
• Collaborate as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs
• Evaluate learning needs of patient and/or family and provide patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances
• Work as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient
• Circulate during C/Sections, attend deliveries assisting the physician as needed
• Follow appropriate policies during the recovery and care of surgical patients
• Attend the neonatal station in the C/Section suite and completely assess the neonate post delivery

Requirements

• Must have ACLS, BLS, NRP, STABLE & AWHONN certifications (through American Heart Association)
• Must have WY RN or RN compact license license
• Must have 2 years recent RN Level 1 Nursery, Postpartum, OB/GYN & L&D/LDRP experience

Qualifications

• 2 years recent RN Level 1 Nursery, Postpartum, OB/GYN & L&D/LDRP experience
