Travel Acute Care Physical Therapist

About This Role

Assess, plan, and provide skilled physical therapy services to patients requiring rehabilitation, ensuring a treatment program with specific goals is administered under physician's direction. Educate patients and families on appropriate physical therapy methods.

Responsibilities

• Assess referred patients' medical condition, functional capabilities, limitations, and potential for rehabilitation
• Provide direct patient care to assess their medical condition, functional capabilities, limitations and restrictions and potential for rehabilitation
• Establish and administer a treatment program with specific goals determined according to the patient's capacity and tolerance under the direction of the Physician
• Set realistic and achievable goals for patients
• Document and record the patient's condition
• Educate patients and families in an appropriate physical therapy method
• Develop a plan of care for each physical therapy patient
• Provide skilled physical therapy services / interventions in accordance with physician orders
• Assess patient needs, plans for, evaluates and modifies care to meet goals of physical therapy interventions
• Collaborate with all disciplines to plan and evaluate team goals for each patient

Requirements

• Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy OR a Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy and passed the NPTE
• Graduated from an accredited school
• Minimum one year's experience
• Current state license as a Registered Physical Therapist / PT or proactively in the process of the application process
• Current CPR certification
