About This Role

This faculty position involves providing comprehensive care in Transplant and General Nephrology, overseeing inpatient and outpatient services, and teaching medical students, residents, and fellows at Tulane University School of Medicine.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee inpatient services including acute and chronic kidney disease care, dialysis, fluid and electrolyte problems, and kidney transplantation
  • Evaluate and manage transplant patients and their associated medical conditions in outpatient settings
  • Oversee transplant waiting list management and maintain transplant program compliance
  • Provide general nephrology outpatient services for chronic kidney disease, glomerulonephritis, hypertension, and ESRD
  • Participate in teaching and clinical programs for residents, fellows, and medical students
  • Provide on-call coverage on a rotating basis
  • Attend on inpatient services alongside fellows
  • Perform outpatient duties on a continuing basis

Requirements

  • Board certification/eligibility in Nephrology
