Manage and lead an inpatient and outpatient therapy program as a Physical Therapist, delivering high-quality rehab services while developing and implementing wellness programs across multiple senior living settings.
Responsibilities
- Directly manage and supervise clinical therapy staff, including hiring and performance appraisals
- Monitor personnel compliance, credentials, and develop corrective action plans
- Maintain a clinical caseload and ensure delivery of high-quality therapy services in compliance with regulatory standards
- Conduct reviews of therapy programs and services to assess effectiveness and efficiency
- Develop strategies to expand therapy programs, including building caseloads and implementing special initiatives
- Lead marketing efforts with local hospitals, physicians, and the community to promote the therapy program
- Oversee scheduling of patients and therapists to ensure adequate coverage
- Track and report assessment period data, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to Medicare and company guidelines
- Investigate and resolve patient, staff, or service-related issues
- Provide ongoing education and in-service training to staff and community members
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of laws and regulations governing rehabilitation services
- Ensure a safe environment by complying with infection control, OSHA standards, and proper use of tools and equipment
Requirements
- Valid state licensure as a PT
- 3-5 years of clinical experience in rehabilitation or a related healthcare field
- Strong ability to lead, motivate, and manage a multidisciplinary team
- Deep understanding of rehabilitation principles, practices, and patient care protocols
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Effective decision-making and critical thinking skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Familiarity with healthcare regulations, including HIPAA and Medicare/Medicaid
Qualifications
- Degree in required discipline (Physical, Occupational, Speech Therapy and/or Physical Therapy/Occupational Therapy Assisting).
- At least 3-5 years of clinical experience in rehabilitation or a related healthcare field. Supervisory or management experience in a healthcare setting preferred, ideally in rehab therapy
