Test Automation Engineer Senior Advisor

About This Role

This role is responsible for developing and overseeing enterprise test automation strategies and functions, ensuring high-quality system delivery. This includes defining test strategy frameworks, providing technical test leadership, and standardizing test architecture and methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee enterprise test automation strategies and functions
• Ensure highest quality delivery of systems
• Plays a leadership role in the design, development, and implementation of automation components
• Establish automation tools, frameworks and methodology
• Mentor staff in testing automation processes
• Establish current automation architectures as business and technical conditions change
• Supervise the use of appropriate automation methods to ensure developed products conform to requirements and design
• Facilitate review of applications for automation needs and requirements/design quality
• Provide consultation to projects and application support groups regarding automation design, development and execution
• Understand organizational impacts and trade-offs of automation processes

Requirements

• 7+ years of testing automation experience
• Proficiency in Java, Python, and/or SQL for coding
• Experience creating automated test scripts using Selenium or comparable tools (Postman, Appium, Cucumber)
• Knowledge and experience with API testing using Postman, Newman, or Rest Assured

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field of study
• minimum of 7 years of testing automation experience

Nice to Have

• AI adoption in testing
• Knowledge of the ATLC (Automation Testing Lifecycle)
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
• Experience working with Jira, Confluence, Bamboo and qTest
• Health insurance and medical claims knowledge
