This role involves building Toast's presence in the retail food and beverage sector for convenience stores, grocery stores, and bottle shops by selling the new Toast Retail platform. The Account Executive will use a consultative approach to prospect, build relationships, and sign up new accounts within an assigned territory, focusing on Stockton/Modesto, CA.
Responsibilities
- Use a consultative approach to prospect, build relationships, and sign up new convenience stores, grocery stores and bottle shops
- Generate lists of prospective accounts and manage the entire sales cycle from initial call to close
- Conduct demos and develop customized solutions that best meet prospect's needs
- Partner with internal teams to ensure expectations set during the sales process are met in delivery
- Leverage Salesforce to manage all sales activities
- Understand the competitive landscape to best position Toast in the market
Requirements

- Strong communication, organizational, and presentation skills
- Ability to sell and negotiate at all decision-making levels
- Proven track record of success in meeting and exceeding goals
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial and team environment
- Self-motivated, creative, flexible, and willing to navigate ambiguity
- Live in or in proximity to the Stockton/Modesto market
