Temp Retail Pharmacy Clerk

About This Role

This role involves serving customers in an outpatient retail pharmacy, including cash register operations, maintaining the pharmacy area, and assisting with product location. The clerk will work under the supervision of a pharmacist, providing professional and age-appropriate service.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers in a friendly, professional manner
• Screen customers, respond to routine requests, and refer to pharmacist/technician when needed
• Assist customers with product location courteously and efficiently
• Maintain the clerk and customer area in a neat and orderly manner
• Accurately enter data into the pharmacy computer and perform cash register duties
• Maintain documentation of the register and assist in deposit preparation
• Maintain a balanced register on a consistent basis
• Attend department meetings and contribute ideas for improvements
• Prioritize job tasks based on patient need
• Demonstrate effective communication in writing, phone etiquette, and interactions with staff and co-workers

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent

• Previous clerk experience
• Previous health care experience especially in a pharmacy
