Supervise and lead medical technical staff, ensuring high standards of patient care and efficient department operations, while also performing veterinary technician duties.
Responsibilities
- Perform the duties of medical technical staff (e.g., technicians and assistants)
- Schedule and supervise staff of the assigned department
- Expedite the care and efficiency of the department
- Maintain patient care standards for the department
- Lead the team by example, demonstrating organizational skills, following company policies, and maintaining a professional attitude
- Maintain processes for effective medical record keeping and billing
- Collect and process work charts
- Assist with entering in-patient charges and/or procedures performed in billing system
- Ensure invoices are sent monthly and as requested by clients and doctors
- Process payments and monthly statements
Requirements
- Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) preferred or equivalent experience
- High level of competence in the complete range of veterinary technician skills
- High School Diploma or the equivalent
- Veterinary Technician credentialing or equivalent experience
- Working in a team environment
- Customer Service

- Supervisory skills, including performance management, feedback, and communications
- Staff scheduling skills
- Professionalism and ability to properly handle confidential information
