About This Role

Supervise and lead medical technical staff, ensuring high standards of patient care and efficient department operations, while also performing veterinary technician duties.

Responsibilities

  • Perform the duties of medical technical staff (e.g., technicians and assistants)
  • Schedule and supervise staff of the assigned department
  • Expedite the care and efficiency of the department
  • Maintain patient care standards for the department
  • Lead the team by example, demonstrating organizational skills, following company policies, and maintaining a professional attitude
  • Maintain processes for effective medical record keeping and billing
  • Collect and process work charts
  • Assist with entering in-patient charges and/or procedures performed in billing system
  • Ensure invoices are sent monthly and as requested by clients and doctors
  • Process payments and monthly statements

Requirements

  • Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) preferred or equivalent experience
  • High level of competence in the complete range of veterinary technician skills
  • High School Diploma or the equivalent
  • Veterinary Technician credentialing or equivalent experience
  • Working in a team environment
  • Customer Service
  • Attention to detail
  • Verbal and written communication skills
  • Supervisory skills, including performance management, feedback, and communications
  • Staff scheduling skills
  • Professionalism and ability to properly handle confidential information
