About This Role

The Tax Manager for Partnerships will provide primary reviews of complex tax returns and consulting services for partnership clients. This role involves managing multiple client service teams, developing innovative tax planning strategies, and mentoring staff.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate primary reviews of complex tax returns and provide tax consulting services for partnership clients
  • Evaluate the tax aspects of partnership agreements and manage client's Internal Revenue Code (IRC) 704b accounts
  • Manage multiple client services teams on client engagements, planning and executing tax projects across various industries
  • Provide innovative tax planning, consulting, and compliance expertise to clients; market, sell, design, and implement tax-planning strategies
  • Manage, develop, train, and mentor staff on tax projects; assess performance for engagement and year-end reviews
  • Research and consult on various tax matters, primarily in Sub-chapter K-Partnership taxation; utilize tax-related software
  • Respond to inquiries from the IRS and other tax authorities
  • Maintain active communication with clients to manage expectations, ensure deadlines are met, and enhance client relationships

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
  • CPA or licensed member of the Bar
  • 5+ years of progressive tax compliance and/or tax consulting experience in public accounting or industry
  • Excellent analytical, technical, and tax accounting/technology skills
  • Understanding of Sub-chapter K partnership taxation

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, or other related field
  • 5+ years of progressive tax compliance and/or tax consulting experience in public accounting or a combination of industry and public accounting experience
