About This Role

The Tasting Room Associate provides exceptional customer service, advises guests on wine selections, and drives sales in a fast-paced environment for a family-owned winery.

Responsibilities

• Greet every customer with a smile and a warm welcome
• Effectively advise guests on wine selections and drive wine sales at the counter
• Answer questions and make recommendations regarding the wine and food menu
• Handle routine point-of-sale transactions
• Uphold brand standards for maintaining the bar, patio, and private dining rooms
• Properly open and pour wine and tasting flights at the counter and tables
• Maintain basic cleaning practices
• Work effectively with teammates during daily duties and operations
• Adhere to policies and procedures

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Proven abilities in sales and customer service within a fast-paced environment
• Professional appearance and demeanor
• Outstanding verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills
• High energy and ability to work well in a fast-paced, team environment
• Basic computer and math skills
• Ability to repeatedly lift and carry up to 40 lbs
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time
• Available to work weekends and holidays

Qualifications

• Entry-level position; proven abilities in sales and customer service required.
