Prepare a variety of sushi dishes, including rolls, nigiris, and sashimi, to high standards of taste, presentation, and food safety at a secret Omakase-style sushi restaurant. Contribute to maintaining a sanitary and efficient kitchen environment through various back-of-house tasks.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of sushi ingredients, including fish chopping, cooking sushi rice, assembling sushi rolls, nigiris, hand rolls and others with precision and creativity.
- Work closely with the Chef to ensure all sushi dishes are prepared to the highest standards of taste, presentation, and food safety.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the sushi bar area, including equipment and utensils.
- Assist with receiving and storing deliveries, ensuring proper rotation of stock and storage of ingredients.
- Help with general kitchen duties, including dishwashing, cleaning, and sanitizing surfaces.
- Support kitchen staff during peak periods by assisting with food preparation tasks as needed.
- Follow instructions from the Chef and Managers to ensure efficient workflow and timely service.
- Adhere to all safety and sanitation guidelines, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Maintain a positive attitude and professional demeanor while performing duties in a fast-paced environment.

- Skilled Sushi Cook
- Ability to prepare sushi Rolls, sushi prep, nigiris, sashimi hand rolls and other sushi dishes
