Survey Technician

About This Role

This role involves operating basic surveying equipment, collecting survey data, performing simple calculations, and maintaining equipment. The technician will work under supervision and contribute to the accuracy and organization of field records while engaging in on-the-job learning.

Responsibilities

• Operate basic surveying equipment under supervision
• Execute simple calculations related to surveying
• Assist in collecting survey data
• Contribute to the maintenance of survey equipment
• Ensure accuracy and meticulous organization of field notes and records
• Collaborate closely with other members of the survey team, including the Crew Chief
• Engage in on-the-job learning experiences to cultivate skills and knowledge in the surveying field

Requirements

• Attention to detail
• Strong communication skills
• Basic knowledge of survey equipment and techniques
• Ability to lift 50lb
• Willingness to work outdoors
• Willingness and ability to work overtime
• Minimum 5 years driving experience with a clean driving record

Qualifications

• Entry level position, background in surveying is a plus but not required
