Survey CAD Technician

About This Role

The Survey CAD Technician will use AutoCAD and Civil 3D to assist engineers and surveyors with design and drafting tasks, including layouts, detail drawings, sketches, and diagrams. This role involves collaboration with project teams and adherence to company standards.

Responsibilities

• Produce drawings using Civil 3D and AutoCAD 2D
• Analyze sketches, drawings, notes, and verbal information from engineers, surveyors, and technicians
• Work closely with engineers, surveyors, technicians, and project managers to produce drawings and layout data
• Revise and/or modify drawings as necessary
• Plot, organize, and assemble project-related documents
• Utilize knowledge of engineering practices, mathematical formulas, and physical sciences to complete drawings
• Adhere to company standards and methodologies
• Maintain exceptional internal and external client relations
• Achieve performance objectives and financial metrics as outlined in the Key Performance Indicator document
• Support a 1 million dollar survey project initially, with subsequent involvement in various survey, municipal, and land development projects

Requirements

• 3+ years of Civil 3D CAD skills
• 5+ years of experience working on Survey projects
• Proficiency in AutoCAD

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience working on Survey projects

Nice to Have

• 10+ years of experience
• Experience working on Land Development and/or Municipal projects
• MicroStation ORD (Open Roads) experience
