Supplier Account Manager, Chem Delivery

About This Role

This role involves developing and implementing commodity strategies for weldments, negotiating agreements with suppliers, and resolving systemic supply chain issues to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery.

Responsibilities

• Develop, align and implement commodity strategies
• Negotiate and manage the maintenance of agreements with suppliers
• Engage with the PLC process to ensure alignment with commodity strategies
• Direct new supplier introduction and/or disengagement requirements to/from the supply base
• Drive resolution to systemic supply chain issues affecting quality, cost, delivery or lead-time
• Develop and present high level cost reduction opportunities
• Own the global commodity strategy for Weldments
• Manage weldment commodity requirements at shared supplier accounts

Requirements

• Demonstrated depth and/or breadth of expertise in specialized discipline or field
• Ability to interpret internal/external business challenges and recommend best practices
• Sophisticated analytical thought to exercise judgment and identify innovative solutions
• Ability to communicate difficult concepts and negotiate with others
