Summer School Secondary Teacher, Biology

About This Role

Help secondary students at Buchanan High School learn Biology during summer school, contributing to their development as mature, able, and responsible adults while maintaining a suitable learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Seek to reach District standards as established in the designated curricular areas as adopted by the Governing Board as they relate to all pupils for which the teacher is directly responsible
• Perform co-curricular and/or adjunct duties as assigned by the Governing Board, Superintendent and/or other designated persons
• Maintain proper disciplinary control of pupils directly assigned and secondarily maintain proper control of all pupils in the Clovis Unified School District
• Enforce all rules governing the conduct of pupils, as such rules may be prescribed by the Education Code, Title 5, The Governing Board, and the District and school administrators
• Provide a suitable learning environment for the academic and social development of all students within the guidance as established by the Governing Board, Superintendent, and designated administrator, adhering to the concept that the safety and welfare of students is paramount at all times

Requirements

• Possess or be eligible for appropriate California classroom credential
