Summer School Elementary Teacher

About This Role

Teach elementary school students in a summer school environment, ensuring their academic and social development aligns with District standards for all pupils.

Responsibilities

• Help students learn subject matter and/or skills to contribute to their development as mature, able and responsible adults
• Reach District standards in designated curricular areas as adopted by the Governing Board
• Perform co-curricular and/or adjunct duties as assigned
• Maintain proper disciplinary control of assigned and all pupils
• Enforce all rules governing the conduct of pupils as prescribed by various educational codes and administrations
• Provide a suitable learning environment for academic and social development of students
• Adhere to the concept that the safety and welfare of students is paramount at all times

Requirements

• Appropriate California classroom credential
• Must be an in-house employee (substitutes may not apply)
