Summer Overnight Camp Nurse

About This Role

Avid4 Adventure is seeking dedicated Camp Nurses to oversee the health and well-being of campers and staff at its Colorado overnight camps, ensuring compliance with medical policies and providing essential care.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the collection, storage, and administration of medications to campers and staff following established policies
• Partner with the Assistant Director of Operations and Clinic Supervisor for clinical administration and compliance
• Assist in general health screenings of all campers and staff
• Organize and administer regular daily clinic hours for treatment and medication distribution
• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records via an electronic system
• Provide direct care to both campers and staff to ensure their wellbeing
• Offer emotional support to campers and staff experiencing homesickness, bullying, or behavioral issues
• Engage with campers and staff as an integral part of the camp experience

Requirements

• Desire to work in a residential camp-based clinic serving children and staff
• Must be 21 years of age or older by the start of camp
• Current CO Registered Nurse license or licensure in a compact state that is recognized by the State of Colorado
