Lead groups of campers in outdoor adventure activities, focusing on safety and fostering positive behavior. This role involves teaching and guiding campers in various outdoor sports while being a role model.
Responsibilities
- Lead groups of campers with a co-instructor in activities such as mountain biking, rock climbing, kayaking, canoeing, and SUPing
- Manage risk and teach campers safe outdoor recreation practices
- Act as a role model, guiding campers in appropriate behavior and attitudes
- Provide exceptional customer service to campers, parents, and Avid families
- Transport campers to and from program areas using company passenger vans (for Drivers)
Requirements
- At least 18 years of age by the start of camp
- Basic First Aid, CPR, and Mandatory Reporter certification by the start of camp
Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience working with kids in a professional or volunteer setting preferred
Nice to Have
- Experience in core sports (mountain biking, rock climbing, kayaking, canoeing, SUPing)
- At least 20 years of age for Drivers
- 3-year valid driver’s license and clean driving record for Drivers
Certifications
