Structural Engineer

About This Role

Perform engineering analysis and design for bridge and transportation structures, serving as lead designer on complex projects. This role involves site inspections, design calculations, and coordinating with other engineering staff.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural engineering analysis and design for bridge and transportation-related structures
• Serve as the lead designer on simple to moderately complex assignments
• Assist in site investigations to document existing conditions, including bridge inspections
• Perform site inspections for work engineered by our office
• Complete and review design calculations; assist in the preparation of drawings and specifications
• Provide responses and solutions to issues during the construction administration phase of projects
• Coordinate work product with other in-house engineering staff and architects

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in Structural Engineering
• Understanding and application of code requirements
• Experience with NYCDOT, NYSDOT, NJDOT
• Proficiency in AutoCAD
• Experience with concrete, structural steel, and masonry structures
• Professional Engineer (PE) license

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil/Structural Engineering
• 7+ years of experience in Structural Engineering

Nice to Have

• Master’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering
• NY/NJ PE license
