About This Role

This Store Manager role oversees daily convenience store operations, including scheduling, training, and supervising employees, while upholding company standards and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Adopt and demonstrate Parkland USA’s philosophies and standards regarding store operations, image, and personnel management.
  • Provide prompt and courteous service to all customers and resolve customer complaints in a timely and professional manner.
  • Implement various programs, policies and promotions in support of organizational objectives.
  • Recruit, hire, and train store employees, including posting internal job openings and conducting interviews.
  • Develop, implement, and enforce daily operating procedures to ensure the store is clean, adequately stocked, and organized.
  • Complete daily paperwork and computer entry by 10 am daily, understanding all information in daily reporting.
  • Monitor cash over/short, inventory shrinkage, and gas pump drive-offs daily, tracking and reporting data to the corporate office.
  • Prepare shift-change reports in accordance with Parkland USA’s policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrate safe work and risk management practices.
  • Meet all performance expectations and complete all assigned duties.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year previous managerial experience in a convenience store, restaurant or retail environment
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends, and be available to respond to incidents and emergencies
  • Reliable transportation
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, and team building skills
  • Proficient PC skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, or similar)

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year previous managerial experience in a convenience store, restaurant or retail environment.

Nice to Have

  • Previous cash handling experience
  • Customer service experience
