About This Role

Manage the successful operation of a retail store, ensuring satisfactory sales and profits, supervising staff, and overseeing all aspects of store management from inventory to customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by greeting and assisting customers, and responding to customer inquiries and complaints
  • Monitor sales activities to ensure satisfactory service and quality goods
  • Assign and direct employees in sales, inventory, cash reconciliation, and customer service tasks
  • Recruit, interview, hire, train, evaluate performance, demote, promote, and terminate store employees
  • Inventory stock and reorder when inventory drops to a specified level
  • Keep records of purchases, sales, and requisitions
  • Enforce safety, health, and security rules
  • Examine merchandise to ensure correct pricing, display, and functionality
  • Achieve sales and profit objectives through example and leadership
  • Organize, calculate, and accurately enter daily sales information and send to the corporate office

Requirements

  • High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Access to a phone at all times
  • Ability to complete basic math calculations
  • Microsoft Office and other general computer knowledge
