Manage the successful operation of a retail store, ensuring satisfactory sales and profits, supervising staff, and overseeing all aspects of store management from inventory to customer service.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by greeting and assisting customers, and responding to customer inquiries and complaints
- Monitor sales activities to ensure satisfactory service and quality goods
- Assign and direct employees in sales, inventory, cash reconciliation, and customer service tasks
- Recruit, interview, hire, train, evaluate performance, demote, promote, and terminate store employees
- Inventory stock and reorder when inventory drops to a specified level
- Keep records of purchases, sales, and requisitions
- Enforce safety, health, and security rules
- Examine merchandise to ensure correct pricing, display, and functionality
- Achieve sales and profit objectives through example and leadership
- Organize, calculate, and accurately enter daily sales information and send to the corporate office
Requirements
- High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
- Access to a phone at all times
- Ability to complete basic math calculations
- Microsoft Office and other general computer knowledge
