About This Role

Manage the daily operations of a store, maximizing sales and profitability while ensuring excellent customer service and effective employee management.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and measure business trends; develop and implement plans to maximize sales and meet goals
  • Control shrinkage (MIA’s), expenses, and payroll
  • Ensure appropriate merchandise stock levels, adjacencies, and presentations
  • Review store trends and recommend changes for maximizing goals and objectives
  • Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures through regular meetings, walk-throughs, and audits
  • Continually evaluate and react to performance issues; complete 90-Day and Annual employee reviews
  • Train and develop store employees in all aspects of the business
  • Handle and resolve issues between employees and customers and/or among employees
  • Monitor and assist in Accounts Receivable collections
  • Maintain merchandising standards, display presentation, signing standards and monitor inventory levels
  • Plan and assign daily goals, tasks and assignments, assuring proper completion through follow-up
  • Monitor sales performance and adjust strategies as needed
  • Manage all office tasks including management of funds and media, receiving, inventory, payroll, and employee scheduling
  • Communicate with all staff
  • Routinely contact and visit customers to foster improved communications and build relationships
  • Ensure outstanding customer service by providing a customer-friendly environment, greeting customers, maintaining standards, and solid product knowledge

Requirements

  • 5+ years experience in automotive retail management
  • Knowledge of automotive parts, equipment and systems
  • Ability to process information and merchandise through computer system and POS register system
  • Ability to operate and use all equipment necessary to run the store (with exception of working in the machine shop)

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Five (5) or more years’ experience in automotive retail management; or equivalent combination of education and experience
