Store Driver

About This Role

This role involves safely delivering auto parts to customers, managing credit accounts, and fostering relationships with professional clients. It requires strong communication, sales aptitude, and the ability to maintain store cleanliness and inventory.

Responsibilities

• Pick, stage and safely deliver parts to pro customers
• Pick up returns and cores
• Drop off weekly/monthly sales flyers while promoting current sales and loyalty programs
• Daily collection of credit accounts
• Build and maintain relationships with MainStreet and National Pro customers
• Assist in upselling and cross-selling products to increase average transaction value
• Maintain store cleanliness including floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting and parking lot
• General stocking including truck stocking, back stock and cycle counts
• Maintain knowledge of product inventory and new arrivals to assist with sales
• Engage with walk-in customers to understand their needs and recommend appropriate parts or services

Requirements

• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
• Ability to use delivery board system
• Friendly and persuasive communication skills
• Ability to locate and stock parts
• Safety knowledge and skills
• Operating inventory systems (Back stock) and store equipment
• Sales aptitude and customer service orientation
• Ability to identify customer needs and recommend solutions
• Ability to speak and write English effectively
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating/maintenance instructions, parts catalogs and procedure manuals
• Use basic math accurately
• Ability to work an assortment of days, evenings and weekends as needed
• Confidence in engaging customers and promoting products
• Willingness to learn about new products and sales techniques

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
