This role involves assisting the Deli Manager and Store Manager in supervisory decisions, planning, organization, and follow-ups related to deli operations. It requires a motivated and outgoing individual to provide exceptional customer service, prepare deli items, and ensure high-quality food preparation and sanitation.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Deli manager and/or store manager in supervisory decisions consistent with Town Pump standards, policies, and procedures
- Assist in planning, leadership, organization, and follow-ups with controllable expenses, sales increases, food costs, and shortage controls
- Set the proper example for co-workers in terms of professionalism, attitude, and teamwork in customer service and store operations
- Assist the Deli Manager in making management decisions for the deli operation, development of department staff, and new employee training and orientation
- Interact with the public, providing exceptional customer service
- Prepare deli items and cook heated items
- Order and maintain deli merchandise
- Maintain the highest quality standards in food preparation and sanitation procedures
- Effectively prioritize, organize, delegate, and follow up on shift tasks
- Be responsible for the security of all store assets, control of cost inventories, and store maintenance including basic repairs of deli equipment
