About This Role

Coordinate comprehensive nursing care for patients within a hospital setting, participate in patient education, and maintain professional nursing practice standards by collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

  • Document initial and ongoing patient assessment comprehensively and timely
  • Develop and modify effective, comprehensive, and individualized plans of care, including discharge planning, using established standards
  • Apply knowledge and skills appropriate to the age of the patient served (infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, geriatric)
  • Initiate and coordinate patient teaching based on identified needs
  • Integrate, delegate, and coordinate patient care using an interdisciplinary approach
  • Delegate responsibilities for care according to caregiver skills
  • Evaluate patient responses to interventions based on established policies and procedures
  • Plan and supervise other patient caregivers while functioning as a professional role model
  • Exercise independent judgment in critical and emergency situations and evaluate the results of actions taken
  • Administer medication and perform treatments using aseptic technique to assigned patients

Requirements

  • Minimum of one year of RN experience
  • MA RN License
  • BLS Certification
  • ACLS Certification

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing, BSN preferred.
  • Minimum of one year of RN experience.

Nice to Have

  • Meditech experience
  • BSN
