About This Role

Manage stable value portfolios by actively participating in investment strategy and portfolio construction, ensuring optimal asset allocation and liquidity. Support sales and service teams through client presentations and provide market insights to inform portfolio strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Manage stable value portfolios, including asset allocation, cash flow analysis, and liquidity planning
  • Partner with the team to implement the optimal mix of wrap providers and subadvisors
  • Support Sales and Service teams through client presentations, RFP/RFI responses, and thought leadership
  • Stay current on the stable value industry, fixed income markets, and broader economic trends
  • Assist in managing wrap issuer relationships, including contract reviews and guideline negotiations
  • Co-manage daily investment activities for medium-sized or complex stable value accounts
  • Represent Principal Morley in client meetings, due diligence sessions, and finals presentations
  • Monitor market and industry developments to identify opportunities, risks, and emerging themes
  • Contribute to team development by coaching, mentoring, and fostering a collaborative, high-performance environment

Requirements

  • 5+ years experience with stable value strategies and/or experience in a trading, research, portfolio specialist or portfolio management capacity
  • Strong knowledge of global economies and investment theories, fixed income investments, and related regulatory requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in business, finance, economics or another technical field
  • 5+ years of experience with stable value strategies and/or experience in a trading, research, portfolio specialist or portfolio management capacity

Nice to Have

  • Stable Value portfolio management and structuring experience
  • Book Value contract analysis and negotiation experience
  • MBA and/or CFA designation
  • Strong decision making, and communication (verbal and written) skills
  • Self-motivated, client-driven, competitive, results oriented and excellent planning, delegation, and time management skills
  • Keen sense of curiosity and open-minded thought process
