Manage stable value portfolios for Principal Morley, focusing on investment strategy, asset allocation, and liquidity planning. Collaborate with sales and service teams to articulate investment capabilities and contribute to product development.
Responsibilities
- Manage stable value portfolios, including asset allocation, cash flow analysis, and liquidity planning
- Partner with the team to implement the optimal mix of wrap providers and subadvisors
- Support Sales and Service teams through client presentations, RFP/RFI responses, and thought leadership
- Stay current on the stable value industry, fixed income markets, and broader economic trends
- Assist in managing wrap issuer relationships, including contract reviews and guideline negotiations
- Co-manage daily investment activities for medium-sized or complex stable value accounts
- Represent Principal Morley in client meetings, due diligence sessions, and finals presentations
- Monitor market and industry developments to identify opportunities, risks, and emerging themes
- Cultivate external relationships to enhance market intelligence
- Contribute to team development by coaching, mentoring, and fostering a collaborative, high-performance environment
Requirements
- 5+ years experience with stable value strategies and/or experience in a trading, research, portfolio specialist or portfolio management capacity
- Strong knowledge of global economies and investment theories, fixed income investments, and related regulatory requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in business, finance, economics or another technical field
- 5+ experience with stable value strategies and/or experience in a trading, research, portfolio specialist or portfolio management capacity
Nice to Have
- Stable Value portfolio management and structuring experience
- Book Value contract analysis and negotiation experience
- MBA and/or CFA designation
- Strong decision making, and communication (verbal and written) skills
- Self-motivated, client-driven, competitive, results oriented
- Excellent planning, delegation, and time management skills
- Keen sense of curiosity and open-minded thought process
