Sr. Project Manager

About This Role

This Senior Project Manager role is core to the OTTAVA surgical robotics team, responsible for the design and development of capital system hardware from conception to launch. The role involves developing end-to-end schedules, breaking them into actionable objectives, and championing a hybrid Agile methodology. Key responsibilities include risk management, mitigation, and fostering a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop end to end schedules and break them down into actionable quarterly objectives and key results
• Champion a hybrid Agile methodology to focus and drive teams to achieve important short-term milestones
• Manage risk and mitigation, including contingency planning, conflict resolution, and tradeoff assessments
• Build strong positive relationships with peers and multi-disciplinary functional partners
• Challenge and communicate difficult decisions, strategies, and priorities
• Build a positive team environment and a culture with a sense of urgency, driving toward improved team effectiveness and achievement

Requirements

• BS in Engineering or related technical subject area
• 5+ years of program management experience
• Experience managing an R&D project
• Previous experience leading a multi-disciplinary technical project team
• Prior experience managing a complex electromechanical or mechatronics R&D project
• Experience with MS Project
• Prior experience in a regulated environment

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering or related technical subject area is required.
• Prior program management experience of 5+ years is required, candidates with 8+ years will be preferentially considered.
