Sr. Product Manager-App Software-Consumer Electronics

About This Role

Manage the full lifecycle of app software features for consumer electronics, from planning and design to development, release, and continuous optimization. This role focuses on designing and optimizing smart home app features to ensure an industry-leading user experience and drive product innovation.

Responsibilities

• Manage software for consumer electronics products, including mobile applications and cloud features, overseeing the entire lifecycle of features
• Lead the design of smart home product software features, ensuring the app's overall experience and functionality meet user needs
• Conduct industry competitive analysis and market research to develop smart home app software feature plans and development strategies
• Analyze industry trends, competitive products, and emerging technologies to drive innovative product features and enhance user experience
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for the app, gather user feedback, and develop plans for feature optimization and iteration
• Collaborate with the design department to ensure software design aligns with usage habits and needs of target market users

Requirements

• At least 6 years of experience as a software product manager
• Extensive experience as a product manager on mobile or web platforms
• Proven ability to independently design and develop large-scale software products or core functional modules
• Familiar with the software development lifecycle and substantial experience writing software functional PRDs
• Strong user insight and ability to understand and anticipate user needs
• Excellent product design skills aimed at enhancing user experience
• Excellent communication skills and capable of driving cross-department coordination and execution
• Experience collaborating with remote teams

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Electronics, Communications, Software Engineering, or related fields
• At least 6 years of experience as a software product manager, with extensive experience as a product manager on mobile or web platforms

Nice to Have

• Experience in consumer electronics software
• Background in consumer electronics education or relevant software work experience
• Experience using smart home products with profound understanding of smart homes changing lifestyles
