This role involves managing multi-faceted client relationships to generate loans, deposits, and fees within a geographic area. The Relationship Manager will determine credit eligibility, prepare loan narratives, ensure loan compliance, and cross-sell a variety of banking products to achieve corporate sales and service goals.
Responsibilities
- Develop and expand existing client relationships by initiating business development activities and proactively reviewing client financial needs
- Cross-sell banking products and services
- Grow and maintain a profitable book of business (loans and deposits) to achieve individual and market goals
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of client's needs based on financial data analysis
- Qualify prospects by collecting and analyzing financial data to determine creditworthiness and loan merits
- Prepare and oversee loan approval requirements, including careful underwriting
- Recommend and negotiate credit terms, including pricing fees, costs, repayment methods, and collateral requirements
- Manage portfolio including monitoring credit quality, past due credits, non-performing and credit exceptions, covenant compliance
- Actively participate and represent First Financial Bank in various community, civic, and professional organizations
- Refer loans to loan committee for approval and provide credible advice to clients
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- Seven (7) years of proven relationship/account management experience selling banking products
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication and presentation skills
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks
- Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to generate new business through a consultative sales approach
- Demonstrated sales and negotiating experience
- Ability to work effectively with individuals and groups in managing customer relationships
- Well versed in product knowledge
- Credit training, credit quality and underwriting experience; including financial analysis
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Seven (7) years of proven relationship/account management experience selling banking products

- Experience working in Capital Markets and/or within the Middle Market space ($50MM+)
