Provide individualized Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) care to residents in a residential care setting, developing and implementing tailored treatment plans to support communication, swallowing, and cognitive function. Collaborate with the care team and families to achieve optimal resident outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Provide individualized SLP care to residents in a residential care setting
- Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to each resident’s needs
- Collaborate with the care team and families to support resident outcomes
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of speech, language, voice, and swallowing abilities
- Implement evidence-based therapies for speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders
- Maintain accurate records of evaluations, progress, and treatment plans
- Work with healthcare providers to ensure effective patient care
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings as needed
Requirements
- Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited institution
- Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist, or license eligible
- Current state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) (CCC-SLP)
- Strong assessment, diagnostic, and therapeutic abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in using diagnostic tools, therapy equipment, relevant software, and electronic health record systems
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
Qualifications
- Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited institution
