Speech-Language Pathologist

About This Role

Join Pine Tree Society as a full-time Speech Language Pathologist to help children and adults improve communication. This role offers unique opportunities to gain expertise in AAC and AT with strong mentorship.

Responsibilities

• Conduct speech and language assessments
• Provide ongoing speech/language therapy and intervention
• Facilitate social language/social pragmatic group sessions
• Perform Assistive Technology assessments for learning and augmentative and alternative communication
• Offer Assistive Technology consultations and support, including training, programming, and implementation
• Conduct Assistive Technology professional development workshops

Requirements

• Knowledge of a variety of speech and language delays and disorders, AAC systems, vendors and products
• Ability to use standardized, modified and criterion-referenced assessment procedures and techniques to identify communicative needs
• Ability to document findings and recommendations in comprehensive written evaluation reports
• Ability to identify goals and objectives, AAC systems and/or strategies and procedures that will meet identified needs
• Communication skills necessary to respond to questions and clearly explain options, research, and theories behind recommendations to clients and caregivers
• Ability to respond to questions and teach computer-based common and special needs systems
• Ability to organize time effectively and remain flexible to meet competing demands

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology

Certifications
