About This Role

This Speech Language Pathologist position involves working across three schools in Maine to support students with diverse communication needs. The role focuses on assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, and cognitive-communication disorders, developing individualized treatment plans, and collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure comprehensive care for students.

Responsibilities

  • Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and cognitive-communication disorders
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive care
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of student progress
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of educational plans
  • Stay current with the latest research and techniques in speech-language pathology

Requirements

  • Certified as a Speech Language Pathologist in the state of Maine
  • Current Criminal History Record Check (CHRC) clearance
  • Experience working with students across exceptionalities
  • Proficiency in treating a range of communication disorders
  • Familiarity and comfort with augmentative communication devices
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution
  • Maine state licensure in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to travel between the three school locations

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution

Nice to Have

  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)

Certifications

Criminal History Record Check (CHRC) clearance (Required)
