Speech-Language Pathologist

About This Role

HealthPro Heritage is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist for full-time or part-time opportunities in Wallingford, CT and surrounding areas, focusing on home health settings for adults. This role involves patient assessment, treatment, education, documentation, and collaboration within a supportive, therapist-led organization.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of speech, language, voice, and swallowing abilities using standardized tests and clinical observations
• Develop accurate diagnoses based on assessment results
• Implement evidence-based therapies for speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders
• Monitor and adjust treatment plans
• Educate and support patients and families on disorders, treatment strategies, and daily communication improvement
• Maintain accurate records of evaluations, progress, and treatment plans, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards
• Work with healthcare providers to ensure effective patient care
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings as needed

Requirements

• Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited institution
• Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist, or license eligible
• Current state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
• Certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) (CCC-SLP)
• Strong assessment, diagnostic, and therapeutic abilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in using diagnostic tools
• Proficient in therapy equipment
• Proficient in relevant software
• Proficient in electronic health record systems
• Proven ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team

Qualifications

• Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited institution
