About This Role

Provide clinical support for surgical and general dental procedures performed by faculty, residents, and students, including four-handed chairside assisting during various pediatric and adult treatments. This role focuses on patient care, vital sign monitoring, medication administration, and maintaining clinical inventory.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical support for surgical and general dental procedures
• Perform four-handed chairside assisting during pediatric and adult treatments (orthodontics, restorative, endodontics, periodontics, prosthodontics, oral surgery, and implant placement)
• Obtain patient consent and review medical histories
• Initiate IVs and draw blood for PRF preparation
• Set up and break down operatories
• Monitor and document vital signs during oral and IV sedation
• Administer medications under supervision
• Assist during medical emergencies
• Pass instruments during procedures
• Deliver post-operative instructions and escort patients after surgery
• Manage clinical inventory and supply orders
• Take radiographs, impressions, and intraoral scans

Requirements

• 1 year of related experience
• Basic Life Support (BLS) at time of hire through the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Ability to obtain Coronal Polishing, Dental X-ray, and IV Sedation competencies within 6 months of hire

Qualifications

• HS
• 1 year of related experience
