About This Role

Provide expert patient care with a focus on breast care, screening, perioperative support, and surveillance within the sub-regional breast and cervical service for Health New Zealand.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert patient care with a practice focus on breast care, breast screening, perioperative support, and surveillance within the sub-regional breast and cervical service
• Works in a specialised practice area with advanced knowledge and skills beyond that of an expert Registered Nurse (RN)
• Ensures personalised, proactive, and consistent care throughout the patient journey
• Works collaboratively to ensure quality patient care is received
• Works directly with patients and families to coordinate care, provide assessment and education
• Contributes to service specific pathways, protocols and guidelines that reflect best practice
• Ensures safe and effective patient care in an environment of continuous improvement
