Plan, administer, and execute high-profile university programs and events for the FIELD Center, engaging corporate partners, students, faculty, and senior administrators. This role ensures timely and budget-compliant delivery of event objectives.
Responsibilities
- Manage the planning and administration of events
- Meet with internal and external constituents planning a program/event, providing consultation and expertise
- Develop and define event planning strategies to achieve goals and timelines effectively and efficiently
- Lead cross-functional teams of university staff, faculty, students, and external partners to deliver event goals
- Process contracts and agreements related to corporate partnerships, speakers, venues, hotel/lodging, and transportation
- Responsible for all logistics including sending invites, tracking participants, supplying toolkits, and arranging catering and technology
- Responsible for onsite management at programs/events
- Conduct program/event assessments, proactively seeking innovative solutions and improvements
- Develop and execute a vision for programs and events that enhance student experience and external partnerships
- Plan, forecast, and manage program/event budgets, ensuring timely payments and providing cost summaries
- Supervise student employees, including hiring, training, and disciplinary actions
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and three years of related work experience OR seven years of related work experience
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Good organization, project management, budget management, and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple competing priorities with attention to detail
- Ability to engage team members, colleagues, students, and constituents positively and collaboratively
- Availability for weekend and evening hours as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- 3+ years of related work experience OR 7+ years of related work experience without a bachelor's degree
Nice to Have
- Previous experience planning and executing high profile events
- Knowledge of Qualtrics
