Spanish Bilingual Special Education Tutor

About This Role

Provide personalized one-on-one in-home tutoring to Spanish-speaking students with special needs in Chino, CA, delivering instruction aligned with their Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and fostering their academic and emotional growth. This role involves developing tailored lesson plans, tracking progress, and collaborating with parents and education teams.

Responsibilities

• Conduct engaging 1:1 tutoring sessions for students with special education needs
• Develop personalized lesson plans and strategies that align with each student's IEP
• Adapt materials, assessments, and teaching methods to fit unique learning styles
• Track and document student progress, making adjustments to teaching methods as necessary
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, parents, and special education teams for a cohesive learning experience
• Keep open communication with parents or guardians, discussing student progress and addressing concerns
• Foster a safe and inclusive environment that supports emotional and behavioral growth
• Stay up to date on the latest trends and best practices in special education and incorporate them into lessons

Requirements

• Ability to commute to Chino, CA
• Fluency in Spanish
• Enrolled in College or have completed an AA, BA or higher

Qualifications

• AA, BA or higher (or currently enrolled in College)
• Experience working with students with special needs and accommodations is highly preferred.
