About This Role

The Solar Operations & Maintenance Technician I is responsible for the maintenance and operation of utility-scale PV power plants, including supervised monitoring through SCADA and performing commissioning, testing, inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, and modifying AC and DC solar PV systems.

Responsibilities

Ensure the highest level of health and safety practices and strict adherence to company protocols
Comply with Job Hazard Analysis, Pre-Job Brief and Lock-Out-Tag-Out procedures
Monitor PV Plant operation through SCADA under supervision
Perform commissioning, testing, inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, and modifying AC and DC solar PV systems
Utilize CMMS systems for maintenance tracking
Perform various preventative and corrective maintenance work on all site components under supervision
Keep track of quality, quantity, and stock levels of all materials on the sites
Maintain the Plant’s vegetation requirements, by use of mechanical and/or chemical methods
Communicate cross-functionally across the organization to resolve plant issues
Maintain work area and site housecleaning to company standards

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED
One (1) year of work experience in operations and/or maintenance in power generation, transmission, and/or distribution
Demonstrated understanding of power plant, EH&S compliance, operations, and maintenance
Safety background with experience in Lockout Tag Out and Job Hazard Analysis
Proficient use of all Microsoft Office Suite programs
Valid U.S. Driver license with acceptable MVR history

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required. College or technical degree preferred.
One (1) year of work experience in operations and/or maintenance in power generation, transmission, and/or distribution.

Nice to Have

College or technical degree
Electrical certifications (state, journeyman, etc.)
Technical knowledge of PV Inverters and tracking systems
