Software Engineering Manager

About This Role

Lead a team of engineers supporting customer-facing applications for a large banking client, ensuring technical expertise and guidance are provided, and contributing to the growth of the team.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Engineers that support the Bank's customer facing applications
• Help grow the existing team with both on-shore and off-shore resources
• Provide technical expertise and guidance to others in a lead capacity
• Work autonomously as a Lead Engineer
• Possess Software Architecture and Design knowledge
• Be comfortable with the process of implementation and Solutions Architecture
• Act as the primary subject matter expert in multiple areas
• Consult with clients/or project teams with respect to all aspects of research, analysis, and design

Requirements

• Banking or Financial Services industry experience
• Prior Development Manager or Lead experience
• 10+ years' Java development
• 5+ years' Angular development
• 3+ years experience with Spring framework (Spring Core with Annotation, Spring Boot Spring Rest docs), with a good understanding of Spring Security & Authorization
• 2+ years of experience with deployment automation tools: Jenkins or similar products
• 2+ years of experience with logging frameworks SLF4J, Logback or similar products

Qualifications

• 10+ years' Java development, 5+ years' Angular development, 3+ years experience with Spring framework, 2+ years of experience with deployment automation tools, 2+ years of experience with logging frameworks

Nice to Have

• Software architecture experience
• Containerization technologies like Kubernetes/Docker
