Software Engineer 1

About This Role

SageCor Solutions is seeking a Software Engineer 1 to contribute to engineering services and full lifecycle System Engineering for high-performance computing, large data analytics, and cutting-edge information technologies. This role involves developing software in a Linux environment and working with web technologies.

Responsibilities

• Develop Bash/Python scripts
• Develop with Python in a Linux environment
• Work with web technologies and web application development
• Utilize the Cypress testing framework
• Utilize the PyTest testing framework
• Work with REST interfaces
• Apply CI/CD principles, methodologies, and tools such as GitLab CI
• Use Git Source Control System

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI W/ Polygraph
• Experience using the Linux CLI
• Experience developing Bash/Python scripts
• Experience developing with Python in a Linux environment
• Experience with web technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and web application development
• Experience with the Cypress testing framework
• Experience with the PyTest testing framework
• Experience with REST interfaces
• Experience with CI/CD principles, methodologies, and tools such as GitLab CI
• Experience with Git Source Control System

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science or related discipline, OR Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline plus two years of experience, OR four years of experience as a SWE.
• Entry level with potential for 2+ years or 4+ years of relevant experience if without a master's degree.

Nice to Have

• Experience with the Atlassian Suite of Tools such as Jira and Confluence
• Experience with the Django Web framework
• Experience developing UI using the React JavaScript framework
• Familiarity with SQL technologies such as MariaDB
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker
