This role is for a licensed mental health practitioner to staff a school-based outpatient clinic, providing health education, individual, family, and group counseling to students. The clinician will work as part of an interdisciplinary healthcare team in a 10-month position based on the public-school calendar.
Responsibilities
- Provide health education through large and small group instruction
- Provide individual counseling to students
- Provide family counseling to students' families
- Provide group counseling to students
- Work as part of an interdisciplinary healthcare team with a nurse practitioner and health educator
Requirements
- Successfully completed a master’s or post-master’s degree from an accredited counseling program (LPC, MFT or MSW)
- Current active license to practice as a masters level clinician in the State of Connecticut
Qualifications
- Master’s or post-master’s degree from an accredited counseling program (LPC, MFT or MSW)
- Experience in the field is ideal
