Manage the financial aspects of grants and contracts for a non-profit organization. This role ensures grant-related financial activities align with organizational policies and funding agency requirements, focusing on budgeting, reporting, compliance, and reconciliation.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and track grant revenues and receipts to ensure all entitled amounts are collected
- Monitor and track grant expenditures to ensure compliance with funding guidelines
- Prepare and submit timely financial reports to funding agencies
- Work with a variety of funding source portals for uploading documentation
- Assist with grant budget development and modifications
- Collaborate with program managers to review spending and forecast needs
- Reconcile grant accounts and ensure accurate allocation of expenses
- Maintain documentation for audits and reporting requirements
- Ensure timely invoicing and drawdowns from funding sources
- Stay current on federal, state, and private grant regulations
Requirements
- BS in Accounting
- Knowledge of GAAP non-profit accounting
- 3+ years of experience in grant accounting or nonprofit financial management
- Proficiency with MS Office, accounting, and billing software
- Excellent Excel skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to adhere to policies regarding confidentiality
