SoC Architect

About This Role

This role will drive discrete GPU products' performance attainment solutions by performing performance analysis of gaming workloads and maintaining a framework of tools for analysis. It involves collaborating with hardware and software teams to identify and resolve performance regressions.

Responsibilities

• Utilize professional experience in CPU and GPU architecture, programming, and workload or data analysis to conduct performance and power analyses on workloads and develop supporting tools.
• Adapt quickly to new architectures and contribute to the rapid deployment of new products by ensuring optimal performance.
• Identify and resolve root causes of performance regressions related to performance or power features, collaborating with relevant teams.
• Engage with forward-looking hardware teams to ensure issues discovered in silicon are addressed in future designs.
• Lead or participate in cross-functional performance debugging efforts and perform comprehensive analyses, breakdowns, and comparisons of workload performance.
• Generate and evaluate performance data on new GPU hardware to support ongoing product improvement.

Requirements

• Good communication and analytical/problem-solving skills
• Fast learner and willing to take on new challenges
• Self-starter who can work independently
• 10-15 years related work experience in CPU and GPU architecture, programming, and workload or data analysis
• Minimum BS degree in EE and CS/CE or ECE degree(s)

Qualifications

• BS degree in EE and CS/CE or ECE degree(s)
• 10-15 years related work experience

Nice to Have

• Previous experience with performance analysis and optimization
• Strong knowledge of CPU/GPU architectures
• Previous experience visualizing or analyzing data
• Good programming skills, preference for Python
