Site Manager

About This Role

Manage the operations of Elderberry Commons, a 29-unit permanent supportive housing property in Sebastopol, CA, providing leadership to site staff and collaborating with service providers to support formerly homeless individuals.

Responsibilities

• Review tenant applications and determine eligibility; maintain waitlist; show available units to interested applicants
• Follow Burbank Housing policies and procedures for processing eligible applicants within program guidelines
• Supervise and collaborate with on-site maintenance staff, provide feedback, and manage timesheets and vacation schedules
• Attend regularly scheduled meetings with partnering agencies and provide input
• Walk the property at least twice per day to assure management presence and monitor overall appearance
• Provide input and collaboration with the Regional Manager on the preparation of the annual property budget
• Ensure vacant units are 'turned' promptly by monitoring vendors and maintenance staff
• Collect rents and security deposits for submittal to the accounting department
• Complete lease forms, outline conditions and terms of occupancy with new residents and their service providers
• Collaborate with Resident Services/Service Providers to ensure housing retention

Requirements

• At least 2 years’ experience in a supervisory position
• Clear understanding of General Ledgers, and budgeting
• Clear grasp of federal fair housing laws and any applicable local housing provisions
• Proficient in reading and writing English
• Ability to work effectively with common Microsoft software applications

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience in a supervisory position and 2+ years of Tax Credit program experience and PSH experience

Nice to Have

• 2+ years of Tax Credit program experience and PSH experience
• Spanish speaking a plus
• Yardi Voyager experience preferred
