Shuttle Bus Driver

About This Role

This role involves providing transportation services to students, inspecting vehicle conditions, and maintaining trip reports, while also performing general maintenance and security duties.

Responsibilities

• Supply transportation services to students by van, shuttle bus, and automobile to various vocational sites, medical centers, recreational activities, and courts
• Inspect and report on the mechanical condition of vehicles
• Maintain accurate and complete trip reports for each vehicle use
• Perform general maintenance duties throughout the center
• Perform alarm and patrol duties in assigned areas to protect life and property against theft, vandalism, fire, flood, or other unusual conditions when not driving

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Valid State driver's license and an acceptable driving record
• Required to pass a drug screen
• Successful completion of a nationwide criminal background check
• Ability to obtain and maintain CPR/First Aid Certification
• Ability to operate power tools
• Ability to effectively relate to trainee population
• Ability to fluently read and write English

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Six months work-related experience preferred

Nice to Have

• Six months work-related experience
• Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with passenger endorsement
