About This Role

Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in kitchen and dining areas, assist culinary staff, and ensure food preparation and serving standards are met for students.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain good housekeeping in the kitchen and dining areas
  • Assist the cook in the preparation of food and determine number of students expected
  • Assist in serving food, including making coffee, tea, beverages, salads, and dressings
  • Clean food service area, tables, kitchen equipment, and appliances, ensuring proper floor care
  • Operate dish-washing equipment to ensure dishes and utensils are cleaned and sanitized
  • Clean and check kitchen service equipment, ensuring a safe, clean, and sanitary work area
  • Replenish napkin dispensers, plate and silverware racks, and fill salt, pepper shakers, and condiments
  • Assist in moving/transferring food ingredients from storage to cooking area and storing food supplies

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Three to six months' food preparation training and related food service work experience preferred

Nice to Have

  • Three to six months' food preparation training and related food service work experience
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
