Shipping Material Handler

About This Role

This role is responsible for the safe and efficient handling of merchandise for a furniture retailer, focusing on loading, unloading, deboxing, and inspecting products while adhering to company safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload merchandise from trucks
• Properly and accurately debox and inspect all products for quality in preparation for Home Delivery
• Handle materials and merchandise properly to minimize damage or injury
• Load and unload from vendors and company-owned trucks
• Adhere to company safety policies and use personal protective equipment
• Maintain a clean and clear work environment, free from hazards

Requirements

• Ability to lift heavy objects throughout shift
• Attention to detail
• Team player
• Ability to pass Criminal Background check, Lifting Assessment and Drug Test
