Service Line Lead Technologist

About This Role

This role provides technical surgical support by ensuring all necessary equipment, materials, and instruments are available and operable for surgery. The lead technologist will also train providers and maintain communication with vendors and interdepartmental staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for assigned service lines
• Ensure all equipment, materials, and instruments are operable and available for surgery
• Prepare the room for surgical cases
• Train providers in proper setup and use of equipment, materials, and instrumentation
• Collaborate with the Central Sterile Processing Department
• Communicate with outside vendors for the assigned specialty area
• Maintain active communication among interdepartmental staff, physicians, and service line team members
• Function in the scrub role to facilitate flow of surgical cases when needed

Requirements

• AS degree
• 2 years related experience
• Certified Surgical Technician
